CARELab™ FAQs
THE PURPOSE
Why CARELab?
In a world shaped by rapid technological change and complex social challenges, emerging leaders need more than technical knowledge. CARELab equips students with a purpose-driven mindset, essential
human skills, and AI fluency to take meaningful action—developing the capacity to lead responsibly,
collaborate effectively, and create positive impact in their communities.
What is unique about CARELab?
CARELab is not a traditional AI camp focused on coding or efficiency—it is an experiential AI-leadership studio led by global practitioners and educators. Students use AI as a thinking partner to develop Conscious Foresight, the leadership capacity to anticipate outcomes and make informed decisions guided by CARE Criteria to design ventures for positive impact.
They journey through a four-stage curriculum of transform, design, innovate and impact that integrates human skills, values-based leadership, AI methodologies, systems awareness, and social entrepreneurship. Working on real community challenges provided by City Mayors, participants design real solutions, create a venture pitch and practice the future-ready skills increasingly required for college and career.
What does CARE stand for?
CARE criteria guide our venture decision-making and are the criteria by which outcomes are evaluated:
Conscious… empowering self-awareness, purpose, and empathy to understand the impacts of our actions. Accountable… fostering responsibility and integrity for the impacts of our decisions. Regenerative… integrating CARE360 thinking to restore rather than deplete environments & drive innovation. Evenhanded… ensuring the benefits and burdens of decisions are distributed fairly across all stakeholders.
THE STUDENT VALUE
Who should attend the CARE Lab?
Motivated high school juniors/seniors and college students who want to build confidence, leadership skills, AI fluency, and a distinctive experience for college or career preparation –– no prior technical experience required.
Why is CARELab a difference-maker for students?
The Lab is transformative. Students develop future-ready skills: leadership capability, ethical judgment, collaboration, and AI fluency through applied, real-world learning. Students leave with confidence, clarity of direction, a tangible project, presentation experience and documented leadership learning that strengthens college, internship, and scholarship applications.
THE CURRICULUM – LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
What is the approach to learning?
CARELab uses an experiential, challenge-based approach that integrates essential humancentered leadership skills, mindfulness practice and innovative AI methodologies. Students work on real-world community challenges, collaborate with AI as a thinking partner (Aligned360 AI™), and learn directly from global practitioners who serve as presenters, mentors, and advisors. This hands-on model ensures participants develop not only technical fluency, but also the judgment, collaboration, and systems-thinking capabilities needed to design responsible, sustainable solutions in a rapidly changing world.
What is the CARE360 Platform?
The CARE360 Platform is the learning and innovation framework that powers CARELab. It guides students to develop Conscious Foresight360™–– the ability to make wiser decisions by combining human judgment, AI insights, and impact awareness––needed to lead in an AI-shaped world. Guided by the CARE Criteria™ and using experiential practices, AI-powered tools, and the CARE360 Smart Canvas™, participants design purpose-driven ventures that create meaningful value for people, communities, and the future.
How is the program structured?
CARELab is a 6-day immersive accelerator (Monday–Saturday, 9:00am–3:00pm) with 20-student cohorts. Students engage in workshops, mindfulness practices, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, AI-enabled design, and team-based challenges—culminating in pitching a real social impact solution. Guided by a four-step journey—Transform, Design, Innovate, and Impact—students open their mindset through experiential learning, gain hands-on training in our AI-leveraged methodology, build a social venture roadmap, and on the final day create and pitch their solution to a mentor panel. Daily snack, lunch, and materials are provided, and students are supervised by program staff throughout the day.
How are the industry professionals integrated into the workshops?
Workshops are led by values-based, impact-driven transformation strategists, futurists, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from 5 continents. They bring diverse backgrounds and extensive experience in AI, humancentered design, innovation, sustainable business practices, entrepreneurship, impact investment, ethical leadership and team building. Presenters participate in-person and via live virtual sessions.
How does CARE Lab ensure that learning is both fun and impactful?
The learning experience is pioneering. In addition to developing technical skills to empower social venture building, the program integrates hands-on learning and mindfulness practices to develop human skills such as self-awareness and empathy. Tools such as mind mapping, vision boarding, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, and role play develop the mind, heart and will. The mentor-led capstone weekend is interactive and coaching baseddedicated to leveraging responsible AI tools to build a social venture and designing, editing, and launching a pitch video.
